AND NOW WE WAIT

Hello everyone,  there is nothing to report the house is done just waiting for settlement date 2/2/2011 and 2/3/2011  drove by after work on several occasions everything looks good from the outside have not been inside in over a week :(.  have been recieving lots of calls from HVAC company to schedule a demostration of system. I have called all utilities to change service address.scheduled movers and I think I may have a thousand packed boxes in the garage :).  I just feel like everything has just slowed down  :(  I know everything will pick back up next week and I will be BUSY BUSY BUSY so until them I will just wait.  This waiting thing is so hard because deep down I am so excited.

  1. I know it will be so hard to wait - especially knowing that the house is finished and just waiting for you! Enjoy these last few days. Things are about to get very busy for a while!

  3. Like other people said things will happen and you will be so busy when you finally get the keys. Then you will wish you had more time to get stuff done! 30 days later we still have a basement of unpacked boxes.

  4. Congratulations on being so close. My wife and I are looking into building with Ryan Homes in Western NY as well. Do you have any insights to upgrades you wish you did or didn't get. As well, what type of incentives did you get. The sales person is claiming that since they recently dropped the list prices of they're homes that they aren't able to offer some of the incentives that I've seen on this site (for example free finsihed basement, or free upgrades...) the new price already reflects any previous incentives and now they can't go any lower. We're just curious, we want to make sure we get the best deal that we can (To me, if they lowered they're prices its becuase they aren't selling enough of them at the previous price...probably becuase of the economy. So there should still be room for incentives, assuming they want to sell. Thanks for your help. By the way, we love the granite countertops that you chose.

  5. Thanx everyone it seems I have found more items to pack at home also items to get rid of so I guess these few days of waiting will go by faster than I expected :).

@B back in august when we started the process the incentive was $18,500 in upgrades/ discount
that sounds like a lot but considering the morning room was not included in the purchase price that dropped the incentive down drastically. but 30 days later I was told the incentive was a free morning room. so I guess they change frequently. also the location makes a difference in the incentives offerred
Good Luck in whatever decision you make I look forward to following

  6. @B I wish I would have got the basement finished
during the process we were told it would be cheaper to get it done after but after talking to a couple of contractors we really would not have saved much
