Hello everyone, Winter is in full effect here in Western, NY. Due to the weather there was no work on the house on thursday. But thank God the weather was not too bad on friday and the men were back to work. and to my surprise when I went by the site on sat at about 4pm the men were working. :) (I guess to make up for thursday). well I was really impressed. My husband and I met with the person in charge of the electrical work earlier this week, decided to add a couple more cable lines in the bedrooms, surround sound package in the family room, tubing for flat screen tv wires above fireplace and a extra light on the outside of the garage. it seems just when you think you have covered every area you remember something else. This experience is such a blessing and I am enjoying every bit. I have heard and read so many negative things about Ryan Homes but so far my experience has been all good. I pray it will continue for me as well as for you all. well here are a couple more photos I hope the guys are able to get the roof on this week but we are expecting more snow so I will just keep my fingers crossed : ) .
Looking good! It seems like we'll both have to contend with the weather this winter. I'm impressed that the workers are there on Saturday. I've seen that at our plan, too. I can't believe how fast your house is going up! I don't think it looks small, but I'm sure it feels different seeing it in person and being inside. And I totally agree with you - this experience is a blessing! It's such a unique journey that we get to travel!
ReplyDeleteWhere in WNY are you building? We're in Hamburg.
ReplyDeleteWe also thought our house looked much smaller - it gets better once the drywall goes up!
@ k m the weather has not gotten any better but the workers have still been working eveyday.I agree the house is going up pretty fast went by today doing my routine house stalking :) and the second floor and plywood roof was completed. it seems as though the snow has not held up the process.
ReplyDelete@ kristine we are building in rochester.
ReplyDeletethanx, my husband said the same, can't wait for the drywall to go up.
