I'm Back

Hey gang I am so glad to be back. we are all moved in everything is going well closing was a breeze it lasted about 1/2 hour tops  :).  OK where do I start we have been in the house for 10 days now and I could not be happier. besides from unpacking the million boxes I LOVE MY NEW HOME.  P/M left us with a  big binder full of product warranties, how to forms, also forms to write down any issues we need to address during our 30  day review so far I have listed a couple of loose hardwood planks,a chip in hardwood, discolored and scratched area on island cabinet,  areas where drywall is not smooth along staircase.and what I think is the most serious is the water connection for the refrigerator leaking when it is turned on so water line cannot be hooked up to fridge until it is fixed. Hubby has been busy hanging window blinds and ceiling fans.   bedroom set will be delivered  on march 1st can't wait :) but because I love my new home I do not mind sleeping with my mattress on the floor.
So since we decided to make the morning room a sitting area to hang out and watch TV in, it has been the first room I have been trying to get organized.  I have not  decided on any paint colors yet. decorating is so much fun but since I am not rolling in the dough like I want to It will be one room at a time.  will post pics as we go.
Well looking forward to reading all the blogs I have missed these past ten days .

Boo about the water line and other small issues. I hope they're all resolved quickly.

We will have to be on the look out to make sure our water line does not leak as well. Hopefully they resolve all of the issues as soon as possible. Thanks for posting the photos so far!

  6. Tasha...what kind of blinds did you get? Also why is your middle speaker under your tv and not in the ceiling?

  7. Tasha it looks fantastic!!! So happy to hear you are enjoying your new home!! :) We still have a ton of boxes in the basement to unpack. So many empty rooms with no furniture as well but it will come with time. We are hoping to get our morning room in better shape mid February...it's been killing me! haha It's been hard not being able to decorate all at once...darn that thing we call money, huh? So exciting about your bedroom set. We will be getting a new one sometime in June and already have it picked out. I can't wait!

  8. Thanx everyone

@India and Corey I got faux wood blinds from home depot I was a little hesitant but for $32.00 a window I think they were a good choice I really like them.
as for the speaker I asked my husband the house gadget Man he said that is the center speaker that does not go in the ceiling, but I always thought that the idea of getting the surround sound installed with the speakers in the ceiling would eliminate the need to have any other speakers. well i really do not know if having this center speaker installed in the ceiling is a option or just my husband choice.
