Merry Christmas everyone I had a beautiful day with the family. Pray all of you had a beautiful day as well.  now that everything and everyone has quieted down I decided to  post this update. Well, all the drywall is hung and most of the siding is completed.  I recieved a letter from NVR  giving us a tentative closing date for 1/28/2011, :).   Hubby spoke with attorney and he suggested trying to get NVR to set closing date for 2/1/2011 which will some how allow us to be able to make first payment in april 2011 that would be awesome. This experience has gone extremely smooth so far, almost scary considering all of the bad things I heard and read before choosing Ryan I pray this continues :).  enclosed are some updated photos   Happy Holidays to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pre Drywall Meeing

Hello everyone, Had our pre drywall meeting yesterday. Meeting took just under  2 hours. Jim our  P/M took us through each room and explained all electrical ,heating and plumbing.  Hubby and I was really happy to see bathtub in master bathroom considering we did not get the  soaking tub that came with the upgraded bathroom but requested a bigger and longer tub which caused us to lose  about 2 ft of space in our bedroom to accomodate the bigger tub  which was all done without any extra charge. :)   bathtub turned out to be really nice hubby got in and was able to really stretch out with room left to wiggle :).  the counter area we gained from the new design of the morning room which made the room bigger and removed the window in the kitchen makes the area look so much bigger I really love it.  we also got several other upgrades /changes from the model that we were not aware of like recess lights over each shower area and a bigger mud room. workers were there preparing to install insulation once our meting was over, also garage door was being hung. everything seems to be moving as planned house still is not sided P/M says siding should be delivered today or monday. We had the final walk thru of our present home yesterday and closed on it today at three. I am so ready to move oh yeah we also locked in our rate today. P/M says everything should be ready in late jan or 1st week in feb, I can't wait.  well I hope to post some pic soon take care

LOOK INSIDE

Hello Everyone,  Hubby and I went by the house today. really happy too see several vehicles parked out front considering the weather here. decided to go in and was so glad we did the plumbers and electrical workers were hard at work :).  everyone was really nice to us made us feel that they were working for us and it would not be of any bother to them if we walked around.  As I was looking in the master bedroom closet area one worker approached me with a object in his hand and began to explain to me that the attic access crawl space was in the wrong area of the closet and it would be fixed tomorrow and that is the reason why the electrical box in his hand was not up. funny thing I did not even notice that the crawl space entrance was in the wrong space or the fact the electrical box was not in it's place. (LOL) I guess I can sum this up as another thumbs up for Ryan and there workers so far they have been very attentive to my husband and I during this process. The plumbers said that they would be finishing up today and the inspector would be in at 3pm today. don't know how much longer the electricians are going to take but it appears as if  they have got a lot done also all of the heating ducts and furnance appears to be completed. hopefuly we will be having our pre drywall meeting soon  . no siding yet don't know if this is do to the weather but looking at other blogs it seems as if the outside(siding included )was completed before the inside work was started . oh well no complaints I am very happy with the progress this far. also surprised to see a 2nd window in the 4th (loft) bedroom  I do not remember anyone telling me this came with the bedroom. well everything is moving along. we close on our current home this friday YEAH!!!!.  new owners agreed to lease back to us for up to 90 days. P/M  said we should be able to move in early feb or late Jan.     Can't wait to close on the new home.

Hello everyone, Winter is in full effect here in Western,  NY. Due to the weather there was no work on the house on thursday. But thank God the weather was not too bad on friday and the men were back to work. and to my surprise when I went by the site on sat at about 4pm the men were working. :)  (I guess to make up for thursday).  well I was really impressed.   My husband and I met with the person in charge of the electrical work earlier this week, decided to add a couple more cable lines in the bedrooms, surround sound package in the family room, tubing for flat screen tv wires above fireplace and a extra light on the outside of the garage. it seems just when you think you have covered every area you remember something else. This experience is such a blessing and I am enjoying every bit.  I have heard and read so many negative things about Ryan Homes but so far my experience has been all good. I pray it will continue for me as well as for you all.  well here are a couple more photos I hope the guys are able to get the roof on this week but we are expecting more snow so I will just keep my fingers crossed : ) .
